Supporting Seniors & the Pets They Love
The Pet Pals program provides pet food to Meals on Wheels clients through the generosity of community donations.
We know pets are family. For many homebound seniors, a pet provides companionship, comfort, and a reason to keep going each day. Thanks to in kind pet food donations and financial contributions from caring supporters, we can help seniors continue caring for the pets they love without having to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their best friend.
Pet Pals is currently sustained entirely through donations. Every bag of pet food and every dollar given helps keep pets and their owners together while supporting the health and well being of both.

Our volunteers deliver to Pet Pal recipients on the 3rd weekend of the month. If you are a current recipient with delivery updates or questions, please contact Regina Richburg, Home Delivered Meals Coordinator.

Donate Pet Food
Pet Pals is made possible through generous community donations. You may drop off pet food at our office: 2817 Millwood Avenue, Columbia, SC
Current needs include:
- Small bags of dry cat food
- Wet cat food
- Small bags of dry dog food
- Medium bags (approximately 15 lbs) of dry dog food
- Wet dog food

Organize a Pet Food Drive
Scout troops, businesses, civic clubs, schools, churches, and individuals are all invited to host a pet food drive. Rally your coworkers, classmates, or congregation and make a meaningful impact together.

Volunteer with Pet Pals
Volunteers help deliver pet food on the third weekend of each month.
Already signed up?
Route sheets and pet food are available for pickup Wednesday–Friday leading into the third weekend of the month, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
If you need to pick up outside these hours, please email volunteer@seniorresourcesinc.org to arrange a time.

Help Seniors & Their Pets
Join us on the third Saturday of each month to deliver pet food and keep tails wagging. All volunteers 18+ must complete an application. Youth under 18 may volunteer alongside a participating adult.
Delivery: Third Saturday of the month
