Senior Companions assist frail and home-bound seniors with light housekeeping and meal preparation, provide companionship, and offer respite to caregivers.
Senior Companions provide a vital human connection that helps prevent loneliness and isolation among the elderly. The program also enhances the quality of life of our senior volunteers by keeping them active and engaged in their community.
Senior Companions is a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service. Seniors who fall within age (55 and older) and income guidelines can receive a tax-free stipend and mileage reimbursement.
