Senior Resources’ COVID-19 Program Update

Blog

March 16, 2020

Based on the information provided by Gov. McMaster we are moving forward with our program contingency plans.

All congregate sites will be closed starting Monday, March 16 until further notice. Clients will receive one week of frozen meals delivered to their homes with phone wellness checks during the time of the closure.

In-home home care visits will cease effective immediately. We will help these clients as much as possible through out-of-home services by home care aides such as phone calls, wellness checks, and emergency supplies.

Home Delivered Meals will continue with the delivery of hot meals Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17.  We are working on alternate plans to assure that our clients continue to receive their daily meals with limited contact.

Foster Grandparents will not report to schools as they are closed. Volunteers are asked to stay at home.

Senior Companions will not report to stations this week. Volunteers are asked to stay at home.
