There are two ways you can make the holidays a little brighter for a local senior citizen this holiday season.
Through Families Helping Families, you can sponsor a senior. You’ll receive their wish list, shop for and wrap the gifts, then return them to the FHF warehouse between Dec. 3-15. Sign up online by Nov. 30 to sponsor a senior.
You can also “Be A Santa To A Senior” through a project sponsored by Home Instead Senior Care. There are three giving trees set up in the Columbia area:
• Chick-Fil-A – Bush River Road
• Pink Sorbet – 2726 Devine St
• Belk – Village at Sandhill
Pick up a gift tag, then return the gifts (unwrapped) with the tag to the store by December 7.
We are grateful to have Families Helping Families and Home Instead Senior Care as partners this holiday season. And we’re grateful to all those in our community who are helping us make the holidays a little happier for our elderly neighbors.Back to All News & Blog
